OHS Veterans Day Program to be held on November 11
In honor of our Veterans and their families, the Ortonville School is holding their 24th Annual Veterans Day Program Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The program is intended to be fully open to the public, students in James Knoll Elementary, and Ortonville High School. CSM (R) Joe Eustice will serve as emcee for the program. BSCB receives update on highway department projects
The Big Stone County Board met for their regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Big Stone County Courthouse in Ortonville with all County Commissioners present for the meeting. Board members approved the meeting agenda and the minutes from their regular meeting on Sept. 1. They also authorized payment of bills. During committee reports, board members discussed information from recent meetings.

Volleyball Bucs improve to6-0 with win over Underwood
The Border West Buccaneers improved their regular-season record to 6-0 with a four-set victory over Underwood on Thursday, Sept. 24, in Underwood. The Buccaneers won 25-20, 25-20, 16-25, 25-18. Border West took control early, winning each of the first two sets by identical 25-20 scores. Undefeated Border West tops Hillcrest Lutheran, 28-6
The Border West Buccaneers improved their regular-season record to 4-0 with a 28-6 victory over Hillcrest Lutheran Academy on Friday, Sept. 25, in Fergus Falls. The Buccaneers remain undefeated this season with wins over Stephen-Argyle Central, Hancock, Clearbrook-Gonvick and Hillcrest Lutheran. Prioritize safety as archery deer, small game seasons begin
With archery deer and small-game hunting seasons underway, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources encourages all hunters to prioritize their safety and that of others in the field.
