CGB Homecoming Coronation Is Sunday Evening, Sept. 27

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley’s 2026 Homecoming Week will kick off this Sunday, Sept. 27, with the Homecoming Coronation at 7 p.m. at the new gym at the CGB High School.
Senior Homecoming candidates are Sophie Fuhrman, Greta Gronfeld, Natalie Radosevich, Brynn Vangsness, Will Arens, Brock Martig, Brayden McLain and Mason Tomschin.
Class attendants are sixth graders Nate Gronfeld and Kennedy Spindler; seventh graders Jered Paez and Leilah Vangsness; eighth graders Julia Kelvie and Maverick Ristvedt; freshmen Jaxton Bates and Olivia Brobst; sophomores Ryder Mauer and Summer Rixe; and juniors Blake Fuhrman and Daniella Roeder.
Homecoming festivities will continue throughout the week with dress-up days, athletic events, the annual pepfest and Homecoming parade.
Homecoming Dress-Up Days
Tuesday:Comfy Day. Students are encouraged to wear their comfiest clothes.
Wednesday: Class Color Day. Seniors and fifth graders will wear pink; juniors and fourth graders will wear black; sophomores and third graders will wear blue; freshmen and second graders will wear white; eighth and first graders will wear gray; seventh graders and kindergarten students will wear purple; and sixth graders and preschool students will wear red.
Thursday: Dress Your Age Day. Seniors will dress like grandparents; juniors and sophomores will dress like parents; freshmen and eighth graders will dress like teenagers; and seventh and sixth graders will dress like kids. Elementary students will dress like construction workers.
Friday: Homecoming Spirit Day. Students are encouraged to wear Bucs gear.
Homecoming Week Events
Monday, Sept. 28: Border West freshman boys football will host Morris Area at 4:30 p.m. Border West cross country will compete in the YME Invite at Granite Run Golf Course beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 29: Border West volleyball will host Parkers Prairie, with the C team playing at 5 p.m., junior varsity at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7:15 p.m. The junior high volleyball game scheduled for 4 p.m. has been canceled. Border West junior high boys football will host Ortonville at 4:30 p.m. The Homecoming Cheer Clinic will be held from 3:40 to 4:40 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 1: Border West cross country will compete in the Ortonville Invitational at the Ortonville Municipal Golf Course beginning at 4 p.m. Border West volleyball will travel to Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, with junior high at 4 p.m., C team at 5 p.m., junior varsity at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7:15 p.m. Border West junior high boys football will travel to Rothsay for a 4:30 p.m. game. The Homecoming Cheer Clinic will be held from 3:40 to 4:40 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 2: Homecoming festivities will culminate Friday with the CGB Pepfest beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Homecoming parade will follow at 2:40 p.m.
The Border West Buccaneers will close out Homecoming Week with the Homecoming football game against Rothsay at 7 p.m. in Wheaton.
