OHS Veterans Day Program to be held on November 11
In honor of our Veterans and their families, the Ortonville School is holding their 24th Annual Veterans Day Program Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The program is intended to be fully open to the public, students in James Knoll Elementary, and Ortonville High School. CSM (R) Joe Eustice will serve as emcee for the program. Catherine "Cathy" Karels, 96, of Ortonville, MN, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Fairway View in Ortonville, MN. Catherine “Cathy” Martha Karels was born on August 3, 1930, on the family farm near Nassau, MN, to Paul and Clara Pillatzki. She attended District 8 country school before continuing her education at Bellingham High School, graduating in 1948. Border West Remains Undefeated With 71-8 Win Over Ortonville
The Border West Buccaneers improved their season record to 7-0 with a commanding 71-8 victory over the Ortonville Trojans on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Wheaton. The Buccaneers totaled 533 yards of offense, including 347 rushing yards and 186 passing yards. Ortonville man injured in crash near Big Stone Power Plant
A 20-year-old Ortonville man, Owen Dorry, sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, Oct. 11, near the Big Stone Power Plant outside Big Stone City, SD. Bucs football remain undefeated, 36-12 win over Win-E-Mac
The Border West Buccaneers improved their season record to 6-0 with a 36-12 victory over Win-E-Mac on Friday, Oct. 9, in Erskine.
