Local Election Results Reported for CGB Area
Voters headed to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 3, with all precincts reporting in local races. CGB School Board: Scott Mahoney (760), Nicole Fuhrman (732), Nicole Homan (720) and Kelsey Holtz (680) won the four open seats. Jodi Morrill received 637 votes. Theresa Diekmann received 925 votes in the special election.

Prioritize safety as archery deer, small game seasons begin
With archery deer and small-game hunting seasons underway, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources encourages all hunters to prioritize their safety and that of others in the field. Strong second quarter leads Rothsay to win over Trojans
The Trojan football team traveled to Rothsay to battle the Tigers on their Homecoming game. Rothsay defeated the Trojans, 34-12. Rothsay scored first on a one yard run by sophomore running back Ryan Metzger with 6:14 remaining in the first quarter. The two point conversion was no good to give the Tigers a 6-0 lead.

Council updated on current Street and Utility improvements
The Ortonville City Council met for their first meeting of the month on Tuesday, Sept. 8 in the Library Media Center. Council members Cory Stattelman and Ashley Berger were absent from the meeting. City of Ortonville receives MPFA funding for two projects
The Minnesota Public Facilities Authority (MPFA) has announced $88.6 million in loans and grants for 12 wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects in nine cities throughout the state. Investments will replace nearly 4,000 lead service lines in three cities, among other projects.
